SWCA 2026 Student Bursaries

The South Woodside Community Association is offering
3 student bursaries, each valued at $1,000.00, to eligible applicants.

Application Deadline: May 15, 2026.

Applicants:

  • Must be current residents of the South Woodside community

  • Must have resided in the community for at least 3 years

  • Must be a full-time student in the process of graduating high school

  • Must not have been a recipient of a SWCA student bursary in a prior year

To apply, please prepare the following documents:

  • A letter of application telling us a bit about you, outlining your post-secondary educational plans and goals, your connections to the South Woodside community, and any volunteer or paid work you have done

  • Proof of acceptance to a post-secondary institution

Applicants will be notified of the outcome by June 15, 2026. If your application is approved, proof of enrollment to a post-secondary institution will be required to receive funds.

Community Food Pantry

This community resource, located on Crawford Street, provides free non-perishable food items for those experiencing food insecurity.

If you need some food, please take some.

If you can leave some food, please do. 

A heart-felt thank you to the Torn Souls Motorcycle Riding Club for restocking and maintaining this community support.

You can help by placing non-perishable food items directly in the pantry.

You can also drop donations at 10 Crawford Street or at the South Woodside Community Centre.
